Second Thoughts is a second volume of poetry by John Yurechko, following his previous book, Head Lines. Both are writings meant to be read out loud, either alone, or with one another, or in a group. The poetry reflects on the human experience, both as individuals and across all humanity. The topics are at first simple, then expanding and searching for meaning at different levels of thought, ideas, feelings, revelations.

Head Lines: Poems and Passages is a collection of poems and writings that chronicle the life and experiences of author John Yurechko. They are written in a style and format in an oral tradition, with line breaks, using different voices, tones, and volumes, pauses and vocalizations.  These visual guides are as much a part of the writing as the words themselves.

Head Lines is an anthology that spans over fifty years of the author’s life. He reflects on topics ranging from his childhood in a steel town, to life in California, Virginia, and North Carolina, from everyday events, and the worlds beyond.  Head Lines brings life, memory, and rhythm together in an unforgettable exploration.
